About
What is Youth As Resources?
Youth As Resources (YAR) is an organization dedicated to promoting and facilitating service learning and youth led community projects. The YAR board of directors is comprised of youth and adults from the Marshall School district who meet once a month to discuss and plan community initiatives and provide grants to youth K-College age community groups who are interested in making a difference in their communities. Youth board members develop leadership and citizenship skills while being mentored by experienced adults. The mission of YAR is: To provide the opportunity for youth to make a difference in the community through funding for service projects. Our philosophy is: We believe in our youth and we can’t do this without you.
